The Uruguayan striker has been linked with a transfer away from the Nou Camp.
Barcelona are looking for a life without Luis Suarez after Ronald Koeman, the new manager, advised the former one to find a new club next season. The Blaugrana are also considering terminating the contract of the former Liverpool star though he is tied up to the club until 2021.
Possible destinations for Luis Suarez
1. Ajax
The Uruguayan has been considered no longer reliable by Barca as he had declined over the past few seasons. Suarez dealt with injuries and failed to cope up with the toughness of La Liga. However, he can regain his form if he opts to move for his former club Ajax. The Eredivisie outfit are willing to recruit the South American striker at all cost. Suarez can also help them in competitions like the Champions League.
2. Atletico Madrid
It came as shocking when Atletico Madrid expressed their interest in signing the Barcelona star. Rojiblancos are looking for replacements for Diego Costa, who they have offered to clubs across Europe. Alvaro Morata has not given the impression so far to be the club’s promising striker due to his inconsistency. Suarez looks a good option for Diego Simeone. The Uruguayan can take the leaf out of former Barca star David Villa who joined Atletico in the latter stage of his career.
3. PSG
Les Parisiens are looking to reunite Suarez with the Brazilian ace Neymar – to a greater extent, PSG are thinking of signing Lionel Messi as well. PSG let go of Edinson Cavani recently, and they have acquired Mauro Icardi beforehand. Suarez can still add more dynamics to the Tuchel’s attacking line-up and has the potential to beat Icardi in the pecking order despite being older in the age. The faction of Neymar, Mbappe and Suarez is nothing short of frightening for the opponents.
4. Juventus
Juventus look the possible destination as they are ready to offer Suarez a two-year contract. The Bianconeri are in the market for a new striker after the speculated departure of Gonzalo Higuain. Juve have been so far linked with the likes of Alexandre Lacazette, Raul Jimenez and Arkadiusz Milik, with Suarez being the latest. Suarez will be one of the few players to play alongside Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo if he moves to Turin.
There are options aplenty for Suarez if he leaves Barcelona this summer. However, there are chances he could play out his contract at the Nou Camp until next year before deciding to move towards leagues like MLS.
