FC Barcelona has announced that they completed the transfer of Antoine Griezmann from Atlético Madrid. Barca paid the 120 million euro buyout clause to release Griezmann from Atleti.
French international has already announced earlier that he will leave Atletico at the end of the season, when he sent the message to Atletico Madrid fans: “It has been five incredible years, thank you very much for everything, I carry you in my heart.”
Griezmann had been linked with Catalan club last year but he has decided to extend his contract with Los Colchoneros.
Antoine Griezmann will sign a contract with his new club for the next five seasons, through to 30 June 2024, with a buyout clause of 800 million euros.
