FC Barcelona agree with Kashima Antlers to sign Japanese talent Hiroki Abe for a transfer fee of £1.8 million.
The 20-year-old Abe made his international debut for the national team on Copa America and played all three matches. Kashima announced the transfer of Abe on the official website and on Twitter as well.
“We are pleased to announce that the basic agreement between the clubs has been reached regarding Hiroki Abe’s move to FC Barcelona in the first section of Spain. In the future, after a medical check on the site etc., a formal contract will be concluded.”

The financial details were not released yet, but according to some rumours, the whole deal is worth £1.8 million. Hiroki Abe usually plays as the left midfielder, but he can also move more forward and play as a secondary striker.
Abe was a key player for Kashima last season when they won the AFC Champions League who beat Persepolis 2-0 in 2018 final.
