Sergej Milinković-Savić should sign the contract for Manchester United in the next few days and travel to Australia where he will join the squad.
Igli Tare, the sporting director at Serie A club Lazio, is in London along with Milinković-Savić’s agent Mateja Kežman, the former Chelsea player. The financial details of the contract are the mystery since Lazio president Claudio Lotito wants €120m, while Manchester United are ready to pay €75m.
According to Transfermarkt, his market value is £58.50m.
Other two football giants, Juventus and PSG, were also interested in the transfer of Serbian midfielder but it seems that the price of Milinković-Savić is too high. According to some rumours, Juventus have already held two meetings with Mateja Kežman, but their bid was rejected. The Old Lady have already bought Ramsey and Rabiot, while the Parisians Herrera and Sanabria, so the transfer of Sergej Milinković-Savić to Manchester United is closer now.
There are some rumours which can be true that Paul Pogba will leave the Red Devils and move to Real Madrid, so Ole Gunnar Solskjær believes that SMS can replace French midfielder.
Sergej Milinković-Savić has started his football career in the Austrian GAK Youth Academy. He joined FK Vojvodina Novi Sad 2006 and stay there until 2014 when he transferred to Genk. He spent one season in Belgium team and move to Lazio 2015 for a fee of £16.20m.
He has shown his potential when UEFA U19 Championship 2012/2013 and U20 World Cup in New Zealand, while with Lazio he has managed to win Italian Super Cup 2017/2018 and Coppa Italia last season.
