Paris St-Germain have completed the signing of Italy keeper Gianluigi Donnarumma on a free transfer. Donnarumma signed the contract on a five-year deal and should receive 12 million euros annually.
“I am experiencing a lot of emotions, between the victory at the Euros and my arrival today. I am here and I am very happy. I am happy to be part of this great club and I am here to try to win. It’s a huge club with huge history and I am happy to be a part of it.” – Gianluigi Donnarumma said for the official PSG website.
Donnarumma has 33 caps for Italy, who won EURO 2020 and made 251 appearances for Milan in all competitions before joining Paris Saint-Germain.
Donnarumma is exciting to play in the Champions League and he hopes PSG can win the trophy next season.
“The Champions League is a very important competition and I have wanted to play in it for years. I haven’t succeeded in doing so and so I can’t wait to get a taste of it with Paris. And we will all try to win it.” – said Donnarumma.
