So it’s official. Timo Werner has made an agreement with Chelsea. The Bundesliga striker will leave RB Leipzig at the end of the season and join Chelsea.
After many speculations, Timo Werner has decided to leave RB Leipzig and the Bundesliga and continue his career in Chelsea.
Werner shared the information on this Twitter: “I’m incredibly happy to be joining the Blues next season! It feels like the right step for me and I am delighted to become a part of Chelsea FC. Really looking forward to playing for such a fantastic and historic club! See you soon Chelsea fans!”

The transfer will cost the Chelsea £47.5m and according to Goal.com Timo Werner will get 170,000 per week in a five-year deal. He should arrive at Stamford Bridge in July.
Liverpool, Real Madrid, Barcelona and Inter were all interested in RB Leipzig’ striker, but Chelsea have won the race to sign a player.
Werner said for the official Chelsea website: “I am delighted to be signing for Chelsea, it is a very proud moment for me to be joining this great club.
“I, of course, want to thank RB Leipzig, the club and the fans, for four fantastic years. You will forever be in my heart. I look forward to next season with my new team-mates, my new manager and of course the Chelsea fans. Together we have a very successful future ahead of us.”
Timo Werner was incredible this season, scoring 32 goals and 13 assists across 43 appearances in all competitions.
Werner has started his football career in VfB Stuttgart 2013. Three years later he joined RB Leipzig 93 goals in 157 matches in all competitions.
