Three potential destinations for Sadio Mane after being axed by Bayern Munich boss Thomas Tuchel

Sadio Mane is expected to seek a transfer away from Bayern Munich in the summer, with manager Thomas Tuchel hinting that the forward has no future at the Allianz Arena after just one campaign.

The Senegal international, 31, joined Bayern Munich from Liverpool last summer after a glittering six-year spell at Anfield. However, things haven’t gone according to plan for him at Bayern.

Following a behind-the-scenes altercation with teammate Leroy Sane and lacklustre displays throughout the season, Sadio Mane is reportedly on his way out of the Bundesliga giants with Thomas Tuchel keen to move the 31-year-old on. Due to Mane’s massive £ 17 million-a-year contract, the Bavarians may find it difficult to find a potential suitor in the summer. This could leave just Premier League clubs and selected European outfits in the running to sign the Senegalese star.

That said, here are three potential new clubs for Mane ahead of the summer transfer window.

#Newcastle United

Newcastle United have made great progress under Eddie Howe and are hoping to qualify for the Champions League this season. Eddie Howe has impressed at St. James’ Park but he needs more quality players to mount a title challenge.

The Magpies have more money than pretty much anybody else, so they can fund a move for Sadio Mane. Newcastle can offer Mane both the ambition and resources to return back to the Premier League after just one season in Germany. On top, Champions League football is always a pull and Mane should find a move to Newcastle attractive if he decides to leave Bayern in the summer.

#Arsenal

Champions League football will return to the Emirates Stadium after seven long years and Arsenal will be hoping to consolidate their position with their recruitment strategy this summer.

One area that the Gunners will be looking to bolster in the transfer window is in attack, with the goal-contributions from the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Gabriel Martinelli, Bukayo Saka and Martin Odegaard not proving enough to topple Man City.

In that regard, Sadio Mane would be a good fit at the Emirates Stadium, with his ability to play out wide or through the middle on the pitch, he could link up well with Odegaard, Saka and Martinelli. The Senegal international had established himself as one of the deadliest forwards in Europe with Liverpool and his familiarity with the Premier League would likely ease the transition.

If Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are to go one step forward and challenge Man City for the title again, the addition of Mane will be hugely beneficial.

#Paris Saint-Germain

Lionel Messi and Neymar are expected to leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season, which means the club will be left to fill their void with experienced forward players. Sadio Mane, in that regard, would be the most logical choice by far for PSG.

If Mane operates as a No.9, you get fantastic technicians like Vitinha and Marco Verratti behind him in central midfield and then Kylian Mbappe on the left flank, and that could give PSG a solid spine in the attack. At 31, the Senegalese speedster still has a couple of years left to offer at the highest level, and a move to PSG where Champions League football every season is guaranteed should just be right.

PSG are one of the wealthiest clubs in the world and have shown the willingness to spend the money, so they should generally not face much problems signing Mane if an opportunity arises.
