I was sickened to watch Celtic be humiliated by Rank amatuers last night.

Is it me or is Caldwell useless in defence, is Nakamura well past his best and what was going on With Samaras? No confidence, no flair, no cutting edge and no substitution.

Strachan should be ashamed.

Samaras was shocking. missed about five sitters, first touch was nowhere to be seen. in fact, only Nakamura seemed to have any ability in that department last night. Nakamura actually worked the ball forward from time to time. the problem was that for the most part Celtic would meander about in the midfield, trying to dribble around their markers, but not injecting any pace whatsoever, and just being forced to run the wrong way. when they did get into an attacking position, it was the same story, but because of their lack of drive, the Aalborg back line just wandered back and closed the goalmouth off to them.

poor crossing as well. Robson was especially guilty, dribble a bit, get nowhere, then centre the ball badly, allowing X random Danish defender to punt it clear. whenever it did fall to a Celtic player, they were badly positioned, with nowhere to go... not that it mattered, since their first touch was dreadful and the ball was soon cleared.

Celtic don't seem to have the drive to actually put in a decent performance these days. i would blame Strachan, personally. he's not put a great team together, and he's not using the ones he's got well enough. i suspect he's actually bought a couple of those players purely to avoid Rangers getting them.

Robson has been woeful at times recently, I dont thnk i'v seen him head a ball succesfully for months.

I dnt expect celtic to win the CL i'm not that delusional but a bit of passion please. They are not just there to make up the numbers they have proved in the past few seasons that parkhead is a fortress and they can mix it with the big teams from time to time.

Domestically they are impressive at times but in europe especially on the road they make me cringe.

can i say that samaras is injured and not really match fit,nakamura will probably go in january but who else could strachan play dont say sheridan as he is to raw and its to big a step up from playing in reserves to champions leaugue ye he will get away with it in the scottish league as the standard of the game is poor but its not just celtic that has failed its the whole of scottish football out of 11 games the scottish clubs have lost 8 drawn three ye celtic have a good home record but poor thats were strachan lets himself down as he doesnt know or maybe he hasnt got the players to turn a game around and as for rangers ye they got to a eufa-cup final but if im honest they road their luck all the way but they should have changed their stlye of play in final but all in past its not just an old firm problem its a game in whole up here and dont sy that because the scots are a small nation again i can say look at wales smaller look what denmark done when they won in europe so you just cant blame strachan it the whole of scottish football to blame

also, not being match fit doesn't give Samaras an excuse for missing half a dozen sitters. not being able to run, maybe, but not for blasting a ball yards wide of an open net.
